The Isabela State University (ISU) Echague Campus formally launched its “ISU Echague Online Submission and Archiving System” on September 5, 2025, during the conduct of “Writing Research Effectively: An ISUE Gabay Program for Research Writers,” Session 2 via Zoom.
The initiative marks a significant step toward streamlining the research process in the campus, providing researchers with a more accessible, efficient, and transparent system for submitting and monitoring their research proposals. With this online platform, ISUE aims to foster a stronger research culture while reducing delays brought about by manual processing.
In her message, Campus Research and Development Director Dr. Ma. Theresa Eustaquio emphasized that the online system reflects and supports the commitment of President Boyet L. Batang and ISU to become a smart-green university. She also highlighted that this initiative aligns with the shared goal of the institution and the University Director for Research and Development, Prof. Jeoffrey Lloyd Bareng, to reduce the university’s carbon footprint through digital transformation, while fostering academic excellence and supporting faculty and staff in enhancing both the quality and quantity of their research outputs.
The ISU Echague Online Submission and Archiving System discussed by Mr. Sabas Lazaro was introduced as one of the highlights of the WRE Gabay Program, which continues to equip research writers with skills, tools, and platforms necessary to produce impactful and socially relevant studies. Among the lectures conducted in the Session 2 of the WRE Gabay Program were: Packaging Proposals for External Grants by Prof. Artemio A. Martin Jr., Research Policies based on R&D Manual by Engr. Pinky Melanie Panlasigui, Research Funding and Budgeting, and PPMP Forms by Ms. Sheryl Gaffud, Monitoring and Evaluation of R&D Projects by Engr. Glenn Batoon and Mr. Vermond Joey Almonte.
Through this launch, ISUE reaffirms its dedication to empowering researchers, strengthening institutional capabilities, and contributing to the university’s vision of research-driven development for the region.
