The Isabela State University – Echague Campus, under the leadership of Dr. Jose P. Gallena, Jr., Cluster Executive Officer, retained its ISO 9001:2015 Certification after successfully passing the 7th Surveillance Audit, rigorously and comprehensively administered by TÜV SÜD Philippines on September 9-11, 2024.

Mr. Erwin F. Quinto, TÜV SÜD Lead Auditor, assessed the Quality Management System of ISU Echague in the provision of advanced and higher education, research, extension, and support services. The scope of the 7th surveillance audit includes the different offices and colleges of ISU Echague, such as; the Top Management, Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) – Guidance Counseling Unit, Research and Extension, Motor Pool, Procurement Office, Supply Office, Internal Quality Audit (IQA), School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM), College of Education (CEd), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), and College of Business, Accountancy and Public Administration (CBAPA).

During the closing meeting, Mr. Quinto highlighted positive findings and opportunities for improvement, noting that the requirements of the standard have been satisfied and that there were NO MAJOR NON-CONFORMITIES. Thus, the maintenance of the ISO 9001:2015 certificate is recommended to Isabela State University – Echague Campus. This consistent positive feedback reflects ISU Echague’s commitment since it first achieved ISO 9001:2015 Certification.

Meanwhile, Dr. Marinel P. Dayawon, University Director for Instruction, expressed her gratitude to the external auditor and all university and campus staff and officials. Furthermore, she ensured that all of the audit findings and recommendations would be addressed and considered.

Moving forward, ISU Echague will remain dedicated to its commitment to provide quality instruction, research, extension, and services to the community and all stakeholders through continual improvement and adherence to the ISO 9001:2015 standards.
